Welcome to 211 of South Central Georgia

2-1-1 is the national abbreviated dialing code for free access to health and human services information and referral (I&R). 2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember and universally recognizable number that makes a critical connection between individuals
and families in need and the appropriate community-based organizations and government agencies.

211 of South Central Georgia has joined forces with the South Georgia Coalition to End Homelessness, Southland Church, United Way, Family Connection and numerous other organizations to bring 211 to our region. This region includes the following 18 counties: Atkinson, Bacon, Ben Hill, Berrien, Brantley, Brooks, Charlton, Clinch, Coffee, Cook, Echols, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes, Pierce, Tift, Turner, and Ware. The collective population of these counties is approximately 400,000.
211 service began for Lowndes, Tift, Ware, and Pierce Counties on June 16, 2003. Other counties will be added systematically during 2003-2004.
