In addition to I&R services to the general public,
social service and governmental organizations will be supported
through immediate 24x7 access to information and referral services,
published resource directories on demand (print and CD), resource
development and coordination, and statistical information for decision
and grant writing purposes. 211 will also provide web-based I&R
services.
211 of South Central Georgia has created several programs to
address regional/local gaps in services. Volunteer Connection and
Telephone Reassurance are new programs within the 211 organization
which allow people to give help. Community Case Management (CCM)
under the South Georgia Coalition to End Homelessness (www.sgceh.org
hyperlink) fills gaps in getting services. The CCM initiative
utilizes
Pathways HMIS for case management and referral. 211 will also
support smaller homeless service providers by offering a Pathways
system input service. |
